2025 was a very special year for us.  We won ‘Visitor Attraction/Tourism’ Award at the Best of the Bay Awards, and came runner up in the ‘Large Event’ category at the Lancashire Tourism Awards.

2026 has already seen us recognised as the best Italian Festival in the UK.  This recognition came from the Italian organisation, Comites di Manchester, who themselves will be present at this year’s Festa.

On Saturday 23th May, there will be a FREE to attend concert in Market Square, starting at approximately 7.30pm.  This will be the perfect forerunner to the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale takes place Sunday 24th May 2026, starting at 10.30am, and will once again see Lancaster turn Italian.  Another packed day offering a whole host of Italian themed fun!

Street Food, Including Pizza, Pasta, Arancini, Piadina, Wines as well as a complete array of Italian wines and beers, sweet treats and Italian fudge And more.  There will be a bar area serving top Italian beers, gins and prosecco - perfect if you fancy a little tipple on a Sunday afternoon!

This is a true family Event, as every great Festa should be.  There is something for children of all ages, including the very young.  

Festa Italia attracts tens of thousands of visitors every Edition from not only all over the UK, but from other European countries and even as far as Canada.
